Future Wallagy hopefuls eye off Tim Horan's green and gold jersey

Future Wallaby hopefuls eye off Tim Horan’s green and gold jersey at a rugby clinic in Narrabri

Former Wallaby and Santos ambassador Tim Horan spent some time in Narrabri over the weekend, attending our rugby sponsor’s day, meeting locals and visiting our field activities.

Tim has been travelling to the region for Santos for a number of years, promoting the importance of fitness and a healthy lifestyle to local school children. This trip he gave some tips to the junior Blue Boars at training on Friday night and then watched all three grades of rugby on Saturday afternoon. The Blue Boars faced stiff opposition from Tamworth’s Pirates and finished the day with a win in the first grade, a narrow loss in the reserves and a tie in the Under 16s. Tim was able to meet many the locals at the ground and in the Santos sponsor’s day marquee.

Before the games, Tim spent the morning touring a couple of our field sites. Our General Manager of Energy NSW, Peter Mitchley, escorted him to our Tintsfield natural gas pilot wells, on private land near Narrabri, and our state of the art Leewood water facility.
