Community group People for the Plains participated in a Santos site tour to operational areas in and around the Pilliga.
Twenty two members of the organisation attended the Sunday morning tour which included an operating well site, a rehabilitated well site, the now empty Bibblewindi ponds, the new Leewood facility which holds all water from the previous operations, and the Wilga Park Power Station.
Narrabri-based Water Management Leader, Glenn Toogood, was one of the Santos team hosting the tour. “While it was challenging group, it was an interesting morning and good discussions were had. We believe it’s essential to keep the conversation going with all interested parties.”

Santos conducts monthly community site tours on the third Thursday of each month, which are open to all members of the public. Tours can also be organised at other times for business or community groups.
