Members of the Rotary Club of Gunnedah toured Santos operations in and around the Pilliga on Monday (13/10/14). The group of 17 started their tour at the Leewood facility, south of Narrabri, where they viewed the newly completed double-lined storage ponds.

They then headed to the Bohena 3 well site to check the progress of some of the $17 million rehabilitation program undertaken by Santos since it acquired operations around Narrabri in late 2011. The Tintsfield pilot was next on the itinerary, giving the opportunity for the group to view pilot wells located on agricultural land. The final stop was the Wilga Park Power Station where the visitors were able to see generators powered by natural gas from the Pilliga generating electricity for the local grid.

If you are interested in organising a tour for your community group phone the Narrabri shopfront on 6792 9035 or email energy.nsw@santos.com. We also hold site visits for the  community on the third Thursday of each month. If you are interested in attending, just register your interest with our Narrabri team by the Monday prior.
