2015 NSW/ACT Young Achiever, Rhett Burraston, with Narrabri Shire Councillor, Les Knox and Mark Rodgers and Joshua Gilroy from Santos

Santos was delighted to bring the 2015 NSW/ACT Young Achiever of the Year, Rhett Burraston, to Narrabri for the 2016 Awards launch at the Crossing Theatre. The Young Achiever Awards include a number of categories including Community Service, Environment and Sustainability, Arts and Fashion, and the Santos Indigenous Achievement Award, which Rhett won at this year’s Awards before being named overall NSW/ACT Young Achiever of the Year.

Speaking at the launch Rhett said, ”I encourage everyone to nominate a young person. You could really make a difference to their lives and their future.”

While in town, Rhett visited Narrabri High School to tell students of his experiences and was welcomed at the launch by Narrabri Public School’s Gamillaroi choir.

Award nominations are open to people aged 29 or under and close on December 7.
