The EPA has concluded two investigations into Santos’ operations and found there has not been any environmental harm.
The first matter relates to an investigation into our Tintsfield ponds. Since the issue was reported to the EPA in 2013, the ponds have been emptied, upgraded and recent inspections found they are not leaking and the integrity of both ponds is good.
The second investigation relates to the minor release of small amount of water from a high point vent on the Dewhurst Southern water flow line in January 2015.
The EPA has thoroughly investigated both issues and concluded there was no environmental harm at either site.
Santos notes the EPA’s desire to discuss some possible changes to our field operations. We will engage with the EPA to ensure continued confidence in our processes.
