Santos has conducted the first monthly community site tour for 2015, showing a small group around our operation areas in the Pilliga.
The tour on Thursday 22 January, took in the Bibblewindi facilities, including the Bibblewindi West Pilot, the new Leewood facility which holds all water from the previous operations, and the Wilga Park Power Station.
Narrabri-based Water Management Team Leader Glenn Toogood, said it was an excellent tour.
“This was a small community tour group in terms of numbers, but the attendees were well engaged and asked very good questions,’’ Mr Toogood said.
“Santos’ monthly site tours provide the opportunity for people to increase their knowledge and ask questions about our proposed Narrabri Gas Project and we encourage people to come along.
“We are proud of our 60 years of safe operations and are always happy to show groups around.”
Santos has been conducting regular community site tours since 2012. These tours, held on the on the third Thursday of each month are open to all members of the public. Tours can also be organised at other times tailored for business or community groups of 10 or more and held at a mutually agreeable time.
